At Upside, we're seeking an exceptional Lead Frontend Engineer to drive the technical excellence of the knowledge curation platform, revolutionizing how scientific information is analyzed through AI-powered solutions.
Role Overview:
As Lead Frontend Engineer, you'll join an established project in its early production phase. The platform is now poised for significant expansion. You'll be instrumental in scaling the application that bridges complex scientific data with intuitive user experiences, leading the evolution of AI-powered interfaces. You'll be part of a cross-functional team of 9 talented professionals (Tech Lead, Engineers, DevOps, QA, Design, PM).
\n- Drive architectural decisions for complex frontend systems, establishing patterns and practices that promote code quality, performance, and scalability
- Design and implement robust frontend architecture that seamlessly integrates with AI services
- Mentor a team of frontend engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation
- Relevant frontend development experience, with deep expertise in the React ecosystem
- Proven track record of architecting large-scale web applications
- Expert knowledge of modern TypeScript, including advanced patterns and optimization techniques
- Strong understanding of state management patterns and solutions (Zustand, React Query, or similar)
- Proven experience leading frontend teams and mentoring developers
- Strong system design and architectural decision-making capabilities
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts
- Experience collaborating with stakeholders across engineering, product, and design
- Proficiency in English and Polish
