We are looking for someone with an analytic approach ready to delve into the minute details of user behavior and provide recommendations to ensure we are constantly improving.
As a Trust & Safety Policy Analyst at IAS, you will be part of a team that is a center of innovation for the company and a major contributor to the company's core products. The types of challenges we solve have attracted people from industry and academia with diverse backgrounds, including natural language processing, physics, biology, neuroscience, computer science, finance, and economics. You will join our team of expert taxonomists within data science, and will have the opportunity to impact trust and safety policy for our partners and customers. The ideal candidate has some trust and safety background and experience and is prepared to join an exceptional, fast-paced team whose mission is to develop and support core company products as well as drive strategy and innovation initiatives. What you’ll get to do:
- Develop, maintain, update and implement our Trust & Safety policies as they relate to social media, user generated content
- Analyze existing policies and guidelines to identify gaps, inconsistencies, or conflicts
- Conduct efficacy reviews to determine whether the social media user generated content policies are applied accurately in data annotation projects and determine where new policy is needed
- Identify and fill knowledge gaps to support the development of new policies, including researching policy topics
- Act as a subject matter authority in assigned policies
- Collaborate with data science, product, and engineering teams to bring our policy visions to light
- Work on product lines that have an immediate impact for our customers and partners
- Oversee the creation and maintenance of guidance and training documents related to specific policies
- Compile, organize, synthesize, and interpret research results that relate to conceptual areas we include in our coverage areas
- Develop and implement training and data annotation guides and in-depth policy presentations for peer and customer groups
You should apply if you have most of of this experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s or equivalent experience preferred
- 2-3 years experience
- Experience in developing and/or improving content policies, including guidelines for content moderation, data labeling, or content classification, especially in the areas of brand safety or online safety
- Record of successfully completing projects independently
- Strong attention to detail, highly determined, and results-oriented
- Consistent track record to use collect, synthesize, analyze, and interpret both quantitative and qualitative data
- Experience working with, influencing, and negotiating with a broad array of collaborators
- Organized and comprehensive communicator
- Sufficient knowledge of data science concepts, methods, and processes
- Good to have:
- Strong, demonstrable experience with social media platform trust and safety and community policies
