On behalf of our client, a renown European institution, we are seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to join their team.

As a DevSecOps Engineer you will:

  • Build, maintain, and improve hybrid (on-prem & Cloud) platforms.
  • Help to deliver secure and reliable platforms with a focus on Infrastructure as Code.
  • Deliver infrastructure and platform services to of their operation units (eg: Terraform).
  • Comply with the Information Security policies and procedures in place as specified (incl. NIST CSF 2.0).
  • Ensure 24x7 availability of services.
  • Create and maintain the CI/CD pipelines and workflows (GitLab & ArgoCD).
  • Create and maintain the Tickets in our ticket system and follow ITIL best practices (Service Now).
  • Create and update knowledge base for the known issues.
  • Provide support and troubleshoot application as well as infrastructure issues.
  • Send out the notifications to the users in case of Downtime during business hours.
  • Trigger investigations (incident response) in order to identify root causes and prevent potential impacts on the application.
  • Provide Stand by support when required, may include out-of-office-hours upgrades for production.
  • Support, and document automated build and configuration management processes.
  • Ensure comprehensive monitoring of all systems, including creation of dashboards for internal team use.
  • Diagnose problems observed in test/staging/production environment and propose solutions.

Working conditions:

Work shifts of 8 hours covering the time range between 08:00 am and 06:00 pm from Monday to Friday with some flexibility required when overtime is exceptionally needed + standby service (on weekly rotation basis) 06:00 pm ---> 08:00 am + weekends and during public and Commission holidays.

Occasional travel may occur.

Requirements
  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in computer science or computer engineering.
  • 5+ year’s relevant technical experience in DevOps or a role as an SRE (Site Reliability Engineer).
  • Solid understanding of cloud security principles and best practices, including identity and access management, network security, and data protection.
  • Design, deploy, and maintain robust and scalable infrastructure in cloud and on-premises environments, incorporating security controls and best practices.
  • Design and implement automated deployment and release management processes using relevant tools such as Terraform, GitLab, ARGO CD, Kubernetes.
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate security considerations throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC) in both cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Perform security assessments and reviews of software applications, identify vulnerabilities, and provide recommendations for remediation.
  • Implement and manage security monitoring and logging solutions to detect and respond to potential security threats and incidents in cloud and on-premises environments. Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as PowerShell, Python, Bash.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux systems, SSH remote connections and the bash command line
  • Experience with Terraform, Docker & Kubernetes, GitLab and ARGO CD is strongly recommended.
  • Familiarity with public cloud services (eg: AWS and Azure) is a must.
  • Understand CI/CD pipelines, test automation and security scanning tools.
  • A good knowledge of Confluence and JIRA is also recommended.
  • English is mandatory and other European languages are nice to have.
