The team:
The People team at Jobber builds an environment where the very best people can do amazing work. Whether it is your first point of contact with one of our recruiters, engaging in our custom onboarding program, or reaching out to one of our business partners, the People team is here to help you be successful.
The role:
Reporting to the Director, People, the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is someone who is a strategic partner to a business unit to enable them to perform at their best. You’ll collaborate closely with Leaders in your business units in order to consult on program development, lead change management, and support their growth as we continue to scale.
To be great at the role, you are confident not just as a partner, but as an integrated member of your business unit. You understand the challenges and pain points of both People Leaders and ICs and can empathize and troubleshoot a variety of issues. You’re independent and can resolve challenges while also collaborating as part of a broader People team to ensure consistent and impactful people program delivery.
As the Human Resources Business Partner, you will:
- Provide coaching and advisory support to the business groups at Jobber. This will include managing and resolving complex employee issues. Other areas of outreach include performance, compensation, benefits, organizational design, recruitment, and development.
- Understand Jobber’s People strategy and utilize it to drive performance through the use of existing people programs, as well as the development and delivery of new people solutions.
- Analyze data and metrics to proactively review trends in performance, engagement, retention, and other talent benchmarks. Develop appropriate recommendations and action plans with a solutions oriented approach.
- Manage the creation and rollout of new people programs at Jobber.
- Collaborate and leverage other members of the people team to create best in class solutions.
- Participate in our people team strategic planning process.
- Stay connected to the tech sector by providing insights and advice on a rapidly changing competitive landscape.
To be successful, you should have:
- Robust experience in a similar role, preferably supporting a fast growing tech organization
- You build strong relationships by quickly creating trust among the teams you work with. You consistently follow through and do what you say.
- You are a strong communicator, both written and verbal. You’re comfortable preparing briefs for leadership or presenting a new program at our Company stand up.
- You have a team orientation and a belief that team success is just as important as personal success. You have a positive, problem solving approach.
- You have a firm understanding of employment legislation and how it applies in the context of our business. As we expand to new regions, you quickly bring yourself up to speed.
- You seek learning and feedback. You continually are trying to improve and are comfortable in a changing environment. You help others bring their best.
- You’re resilient and persistent in the face of challenges. You see opportunities, not obstacles.
