Job Description
The position
We're a dynamic startup, celebrating 1 years of innovation and experiencing rapid growth – from 2 to 30 employees in the last 7 months. As we enter our next phase of expansion, we are seeking a visionary COO to lead our remote workforce across multiple countries and elevate operational efficiency to drive our growth trajectory. We value adaptability, motivation, outspokenness, and true leadership.
The responsibilities
- Set clear, ambitious KPIs and deadlines for all projects and operations.
- Ensure 95%+ of deadlines and KPIs are met.
- Enforce adherence to planning and deadlines for software delivery project managers.
- Aim for a monthly target of 75+ deposited plans.
- Ensure 100% of employees have clear SMART objectives.
- Provide regular structured feedback and learning opportunities.
- Implement task-oriented project management for 100% of projects and operations.
- Lead weekly and daily meetings, cross-departmental meetings.
- Collaborate with tech leaders to define PM best practices for software development projects.
- Ensure 100% of employees track their time.
- Align the team's time spent with strategic initiatives.
- Participate in strategic planning.
- Link strategic initiatives to projects and operations.
- Design and implement strategic and operational dashboards.
- Assess operations across the entire business unit and recommend improvements when it comes to tools.
- Empower all team members to reach their full potential.
Qualifications
The requirements
- Proven experience with 100% remote work and managing software development projects.
- 7+ years of experience with increasing responsibilities, preferably in a startup environment.
- Familiarity with unstructured processes and fast-paced decision-making.
- Tech-savvy with expertise in various SAAS platforms (Zoho, Clickup, Jira, etc.).
- Leadership skills with effective communication in English (French is a big asset).
- Ability to challenge senior leaders and manage conflictual situations.
- Mastery of agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Understanding of Finance and Legal is a nice-to-have.
- Proven experience as a COO or in a similar leadership role
- Great communication skills in English, and optionally in French to communicate with all the stakeholders (developers, managers, architects…)
- Great problem solving skills to quickly find solutions and answer technical/operational questions from the team of developers
- Great software development skills with the ability to support the team with complex cases
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Scrum / Agile), having the capacity to lead the scrum plannings and meetings if necessary
- High-level of curiosity to learn and adjust OKRs accordingly
