We are seeking a highly motivated Federal SharePoint Project Manager to lead the design, development, and implementation of SharePoint solutions for federal clients. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise in SharePoint with strong project management skills to deliver innovative solutions that align with the unique needs of government agencies.
In this role, you will manage end-to-end SharePoint projects, including stakeholder communication, resource allocation, and ensuring compliance with federal standards and regulations. Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary point of contact for federal clients on SharePoint project initiatives.
Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring milestones are met and deliverables exceed client expectations.
Oversee the design, configuration, and deployment of SharePoint solutions, including intranets, workflows, and document management systems.
Lead requirements gathering sessions to understand client needs and translate them into technical specifications.
Coordinate with development teams to ensure SharePoint solutions are built according to requirements and adhere to best practices.
Monitor project performance and resolve issues to ensure successful project completion.
Ensure all projects comply with federal standards, including Section 508, security requirements, and governance policies.
Provide regular project updates, reports, and presentations to stakeholders.
Facilitate training sessions and documentation for end-users to ensure seamless adoption of SharePoint solutions.
Qualifications
Required:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience:
5+ years of project management experience, with a focus on SharePoint projects.
Hands-on experience managing SharePoint implementations in federal environments.
Proven success delivering projects on time and within budget.
Strong understanding of SharePoint Online, SharePoint 2019/2016, and related technologies such as Power Automate, Power BI, and Teams.
Comprehensive knowledge of federal IT compliance standards, including Section 508 and FISMA.
Exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Experience with Agile, Scrum, or other project management methodologies.
Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA, or similar).
Preferred:
Certifications:
PMP, CAPM, or other relevant project management certification.
Microsoft SharePoint certifications (e.g., Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Application Developer).
Familiarity with working under Public Trust, DOD, or other federal agency clearance processes.
