For this contract position, we are seeking a talented writer with deep experience in healthcare, particularly the perioperative space, to create high-quality and consistent content that supports our biggest product, iQueue for Operating Rooms. This role will report to the Director of Communications and will work closely with the Solution Marketing team for iQueue for Operating Rooms.
\n- Individually write and manage the production of perioperative-focused content, including blogs, white papers, reports, case studies, product one-pagers, journal articles, etc.
- Manage the full content lifecycle: Ideate, research, interview SMEs as needed, write, edit, and manage stakeholder reviews for all content assets in alignment with editorial calendars and workflows.
- Take complex ideas about perioperative personas and challenges, including access to open time, scarcity mindset, surgeon engagement, robot utilization, etc. and create digestible, compelling, and influential content that increases our thought leadership and authority.
- Align content to overall product messaging, creating provocation and strong product differentiation that sways prospects and delights customers.
- Identify areas and opportunities to repurpose content for additional asset creation, such as multimedia assets, print materials, infographics, and more across new channels.
- Ability to efficiently edit stories, digest constructive feedback, and nurture ideas (big or small) into high-impact content.
- Elevate iQueue for Operating Rooms SMEs as thought leaders in bylined articles, blogs, journal articles, etc.
- Be a proactive project manager by setting timelines, coordinating with partners, and sourcing creative resources when needed.
- Monitor and suggest uses for multimedia, nonlinear, and alternative storytelling strategies.
- Seasoned writing: B.A. in Journalism, Marketing, Communications, English, or similar. Minimum 5+ years of editing, reporting, and writing experience in healthcare and perioperative space required. Professional portfolio required.
- Skilled storytelling: The right fit is a writer and editor with impeccable grammar, a passion for creative and impactful storytelling, and a commitment to providing valuable content that focuses on user or persona needs, creates product differentiation, and supports brand building efforts.
- Being a self starter: Able to work independently and get started on projects quickly with little supervision.
- Collaboration and curiousness: Adept at communicating with internal teams and comfortable developing and maintaining stakeholder relationships. Comfortable using communication and collaboration tools like Slack and Zoom.
- Deadline-driven multitasking: Strong time, project, and stakeholder management skills. Comfortable working on tight deadlines to meet project goals in a fast-paced environment.
- Brand building: AP Style and experience using in-house style guides. Adept at learning corporate messaging and leadership narratives.
Contract will be paid on a per project basis at a rate of $125 - $150/hr.
