We founded our consumer life science brand, Seed, to disrupt the $60B+ global probiotics market by bringing much-needed science, precision, efficacy, and education to the crowded and confusing global landscape of ‘probiotics.’ With the Company’s Scientific Board of leading microbiome researchers, clinicians, and academic partners, we develop therapies and probiotic innovations across gastroenterology, dermatology, oral hygiene, pediatrics, women’s health, and nutrition. Who You Are
- Bachelor’s degree in Film, Digital Media, Communications, or a related field.
- 6+ years of professional video editing experience, preferably from agency or DTC in-house environments.
- Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve) and other industry-standard video editing software.
- Strong interest in using AI to advance your craft, with a keen understanding of its applications in video editing.
- Strong understanding of video production processes, including pre-production, shooting, editing, and post-production.
- Excellent storytelling skills with a strong sense of pacing, timing, and narrative structure.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, creative environment and effectively communicate ideas and feedback.
- You are comfortable moving from macro to micro—no project is too small to tackle with positivity.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Strong organizational, and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
What You’ll Do
- Edit video content for various platforms, including brand campaigns, social media, paid ads, web, and in-store displays, ensuring alignment with Seed's brand guidelines and storytelling standards.
- Collaborate with associate creative directors, producers, and other team members to develop and refine concepts, storyboards, and scripts.
- Expertly communicate our goals and creative direction to both internal and external creative partners to make projects come to life. Work proficiently with an understanding of finishing processes such as color grading, sound design, and visual effects
- Build a comprehensive music library and editing techniques for our Paid Ads program.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality content under tight deadlines.
- Challenge the status quo and bring current industry trends, tools, and technologies to continuously improve the quality and efficiency of video production.
- Maintain and organize an extensive library of digital assets, including raw footage, graphics, and music.
- Provide creative input and suggestions to enhance the overall production process and final output.
- Ensure all video content is optimized for various platforms, maintaining the highest standards of quality and performance.
- Nice-to-have: experience with AI tools such as Runway ML, Pica, and enthusiasm for exploring emerging cutting-edge AI technology such as Sora to integrate into your workflow.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of sound design and audio mixing.
- Familiarity with digital marketing strategies and trends.
Compensation
The annual pay range for this full-time position is $120k-$140k + equity + benefits across all US locations (this position is 100% remote-US). Our pay ranges are guided by discipline, level and experience required. Within the range, individual pay may vary based on additional factors, including your specific location, desired skills/ technical competency, relevant experience and advanced education/ training.
