Liquid Web is seeking a skilled and proactive Security Engineering Manager. As the Security Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of security measures across Liquid Web's infrastructure and services. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the security of our platform, protecting sensitive information, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet compliance standards. This role is essential in supporting our commitment to customer safety and ensuring trust in our offerings.
This is a permanent, full-time, remote position with a salary range of $120 - $150K
Responsibilities:
- Identify protection goals, objectives, and metrics consistent with company goals
- Develop, implement, and manage monitoring and incident handling program including the technologies, processes, training and documentation needed in order to ensure the organization can effectively detect and respond to security incidents
- Ensure that vulnerabilities in systems, applications, and databases are effectively monitored, addressed and managed
- Operate as the primary incident handler coordinating event response in the event of a security incident.
- Work closely with the Security Operations and Engineering teams to ensure constant alignment and partnership in the development and implementation of technologies and solutions
- Have up to date knowledge of Information Security trends and threats in Liquid Web’s environment and translate these to the organization
- Further develop Security Policies and standards by assuring alignment with applicable relevant laws and regulations
- Participate in projects, changes and innovation activities by determining the Information Security risk appetite
- Conduct Information Security risk assessments, advice on the implementation of relevant measures and report on Information Security risks
- Focus on availability, integrity and confidentiality of information processed in Liquid Web’s processes and systems
- Coordinate penetration tests for Internet facing services and applications
- Budget and resource allocation with a mind to managing large multi-year budgets
- 24/7 on-call availability
Skills, Competencies, and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, or comparable combination of education or relative experience
- 7+ years experience working in the cyber security field with a deep understanding of both digital and physical security
- Proven ability to lead a team of security engineers
- Ability to manage and work within a defined budget
- Ability to work with diverse teams in order to accomplish goals
- Excellent communication skills, verbally as well as written
- Self motivated with little need for oversight
- Strong OS skills (Linux/Mac, Windows) with the ability to navigate and perform advanced troubleshooting
- Substantial knowledge of Information Security standards and regulations including but not limited to: PCI, FIPS, and HIPAA
- Excellent relationship building skills as this role works with multiple departments and management levels
- Robust planning and organization skills
- CISSP or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- One or more of the following certifications: CISM, CISA
