Overview:
Join the Automation Integration team at LivePerson! We’re in search of a Backend Engineer to become part of our dynamic environment. Your responsibilities will involve engaging in various projects across different company domains to streamline and help improving customer-brand interactions via messaging platforms and external AI. Collaboration is essential as you collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and major clients to create exceptional products. Our focus is on opening the Liveperson platform to external AI providers such OpenAI, IBM Watson and Google Dialogflow.
- We are a remote organization, but we value the opportunity to bring our teams together for offsite events, team collaboration, and training sessions. Therefore, we are looking for candidates who are based in Germany or Bulgaria and are willing to come into the office for these activities. You will:
- Build the platform that serves the real time monitoring needs of our customers
- Design and develop high-volume, low-latency applications for important systems and delivering high-availability and performance
- Design complex high performance backend services using NodeJS / Javascript
- Develop technical specifications and documentation
- Debug production issues and help maintain existing code
- Participate in on-call rotations
You have:
- Bachelor's or Masters degree in Computer Science or a related field - MUST
- At least 3+ years of software development experience - MUST
- 3+ years of experience with NodeJS - MUST
- Experience with Git, Jenkins, and other Development tools
- Experience working with public cloud platforms like AWS / GCP
- Experience in Kubernetes - advantage
- Experience debugging/testing applications
- Experience building RESTful microservices
- Familiar with basic Devops tasks for deploying applications in dev/test environments
