About the Role


We are looking to hire Statistical SAS Programmer to join our team. This role will involve understanding and carrying out software engineering processes for designing, developing, documenting, reviewing, testing, analyzing, and releasing codes. You will write high-quality codes that are easy to test using modern abstractions and frameworks, manage complex tasks with problem-solving skills, work alongside various team members, collaborate with technical authors to build specifications, identify necessary modifications to existing systems, and resolve integration and incompatibility issues in existing applications.

Responsibilities
  • Understand and carry out software engineering processes for designing, developing, documenting, reviewing, testing, analyzing, and releasing codes. 
  • Write high-quality codes that are easy to test using modern abstractions and frameworks wherever appropriate. 
  • Manage complex tasks by using problem-solving skills and analytical abilities. 
  • Work alongside different team members, including product managers, UI/UX designers, developers, system analysts, and marketing managers. 
  • Collaborate with technical authors to build specifications and also contribute to developing operational documentation. 
  • Identify necessary modifications to existing systems and implement the changes. 
  • Resolve integration and incompatibility issues in existing applications.


Requirements
  • Bachelor’s/master's degree in engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience). 
  • At least 3-5 years of experience working as a SAS developer. 
  • Experience with SAS DI Studio, SAS Base, SAS EG is a very big advantage. 
  • At least 4+ years of experience in software engineering with SDLC tools and languages like Oracle. 
  • Minimum of 2+ years of working with Red Hat Linux or UNIX. 
  • Proven experience working with Teradata. 
  • Well-versed with SAS Base and SAS macros in a Linux/UNIX environment. 
  • Thorough experience working with relational databases. 
  • A minimum of 3+ years of experience with source coding in one or a combination of the following: GitHub, SVN (Subversion), TFVC (Team Foundation Version Control), or TFSGit (Team Foundation Server). 
  • Familiarity with analytics experience will be a bonus. 
  • Experience in application production and support. 
  • Prior experience working in the financial services industry will be an advantage. 
  • Excellent spoken and written English.
  • Strong communication skills.
