Position Overview:
The Data Engineer will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the data pipelines required to integrate various data sources into a central data warehouse. This role will focus on ensuring data quality, developing ETL processes, and optimizing data flow between systems. The Data Engineer will work closely with the Data Scientist/BI Developer and other team members to ensure data is structured and accessible for reporting and analysis using tools like DBT and Looker.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and implement data pipelines to connect various data sources such as ticketing systems, marketing channels (e.g., Google, Meta, TikTok), and other third-party platforms.
• Develop ETL processes using tools like Fivetran or Airflow to automate data extraction, transformation, and loading into Snowflake.
• Utilize DBT (Data Build Tool) for data transformation and model development, ensuring data is clean, consistent, and ready for analysis.
• Create and maintain documentation of data pipelines, ETL processes, and data architecture.
• Implement data quality checks, monitoring, and alerts to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the data.
• Work with the team to integrate data into Looker for visualization and reporting purposes.
Qualifications:
• 3+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on building and maintaining ETL pipelines.
• Proficiency with ETL tools like Fivetran, Airflow, or similar.
• Experience with cloud-based data warehouses such as Snowflake.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with Python or R for data processing.
• Experience with DBT (Data Build Tool) for data transformation.
