This role is part of the Global Sales & Account Management team, serving the Global Services Delivery team, which provides services in learning design, implementation support, training, hosting, custom development, and support for Moodle LMS, Moodle Workplace, as well as other Moodle products.

What your new job can look like…
The Proposal Writer will partner with internal and external stakeholders in responding to RFP, RFQ, & RFIs. This position will work closely with subject matter experts, Sales Executives, Account Managers, and the Marketing Director to prepare compliant winning responses as well as activities that support our growth initiatives.
This role will work primarily with Moodle direct sales teams in the US and India, as well as supporting a global network of partners. We are looking for a self-starter that brings a heap of experience and expertise to the proposal writing domain, including US Federal and State RFPs and is excited about being the Moodle subject matter expert. This is an autonomous role, which will have ownership of defining and implementing the strategy for tools, templates, processes and most importantly, supporting a high growth strategy for winning new business. RFP requests can be fast paced and this role will suit somebody that can work to deadlines whilst upholding quality.
With the pace of Moodle, no two days will ever be the same!
- Search and find RFPs meeting our ICP using the tools provided
- Work with internal SMEs to produce best possible outcome
- Work with Marketing to ensure brand voice, look, and feel
- Work as part of a cross functional team to collate relevant documentation
- Collect key stakeholder requirements and ensure knowledge base is kept up to date, including with references
- Work with global sales team members to ensure they have all the resources they need to complete RFPs effectively
- Entering relevant timeline data into current process including CRM
- Setting expectations with teammates about collaboration
- Always on the lookout for process and policy improvement.
- Utilizing creativity tools to build proposals that the company is proud to deliver
- Build the program from the ground up
- Identify existing gaps in the RFP process and lead to help build process and structure
- Stay current with product training and knowledge while completing other tasks
- Curious and a lifelong learner
- Understanding the client’s use cases
- Managing pricing estimates, extracting data from Salesforce and Xero invoicing
- Working with Business Services on historical and future billing
Especially if you can talk to us about your:
The Proposal Writer position will need to have the following knowledge, experience, and skills.
- 5+ years of prior relevant experience
- LMS (or similar sector) experience
- Extensive experience responding to US government RFP's. Federal Government, State and Local governments. E.g. familiarity with Government FAR requirements, navigating SAM.gov and GSA Contract terms
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to work to deadlines and across multiple simultaneous bids
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Sharp attention to detail
- Data collection and analysis skills
- CRM Experience, preferably with Salesforce
- Strong negotiation and customer service skills
- Software design skills to create attractive bids
- Ability to work individually and in team environments
You’ll sweep us off our feet if you have:
- In-depth knowledge of the company’s products, services, policies, and procedures
- Experience of building bid processes from the ground up
- Experience with RFP management tools, e.g. RocketDocs, PandaDocs
- Experience in selling directly and indirectly through other companies
