What the job can look like…
The Sales Executive role will play a critical role in driving our growth by identifying, engaging, and closing new business opportunities within the education and corporate training sectors. Reporting directly to the Head of Sales and Marketing, you will be responsible for executing our sales strategy, building strong relationships with key stakeholders, and achieving ambitious revenue targets.
This role will leverage your expertise in SaaS sales to hunt for new prospects, negotiate complex deals, and close high-value contracts. The ability to understand prospect’s needs, articulate the value of our solutions, and navigate through the sales cycle with tenacity and finesse will be key to success. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving, and innovative environment.
With the pace of Moodle US, no two days will ever be the same! But most days will involve a mix of:
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate records according to organizational standards in Salesforce.
- Contribute to building and maintaining a CRM database
- Manage the sales process utilizing specific software programs and workflows
- Identify and target new business opportunities within the education and corporate training sectors while working on inbound leads provided.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed revenue goals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
- Lead and conduct product demonstrations and presentations to prospective clients.
- Negotiate and close complex sales deals, ensuring alignment with company objectives and client needs.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and customer success, to ensure a seamless sales process and high customer satisfaction.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to provide clients with relevant insights and solutions.
- Regularly report on sales performance, forecasts, and market feedback to the Head of Sales and Marketing.
- Travel and participate on behalf of the company in exhibitions and/or conferences.
- Meet monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Contribute to RFPs (Request for Proposals), RFIs (Requests for Information) and RFQs (Request for Quotes), supporting other team members as needed
- Share knowledge with other team members both formally and informally to strengthen all aspects of the department.
- Work with other client-facing team members (Account Managers, Learning Designers, Support Technicians, Solution Engineers, etc.) to ensure a positive Customer Experience.
- Assist the marketing team in identifying innovative ways to reach clients, and to contribute information for published case studies.

- Passion for innovative technology solutions.
- Proficient in the use of a CRM (i.e. Salesforce.com)
You’ll sweep us off our feet if you:
- Significant experience in the EdTech sector
- An understanding of EdTech, particularly learning management systems (LMS)
- Targeted in-market marketing experience
- Higher Education Experience is a plus
- Familiarity with open-source software

Compensation
Salary range is $85,000-$100,000 depending on experience. This role is eligible for variable compensation including bonuses and commissions, with OTE = $170,000-$200,000.
