NBCUniversal Entertainment First Run Syndication is seeking a Key Accountant to work with all day to day operations as outlined below for “The Kelly Clarkson Show.” This is a Run of Show position.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage accounting staff; delegate tasks, balance workloads, maintain good morale and foster sense of teamwork.
- Oversee payroll, accounts payable, petty cash, purchase cards, and interpretation of contracts.
- Enforce accounting policies listed in accounting manual.
- Budgeting and estimating.
- Liase between accounting and producers and other departments.
- Meet with team and assign tasks on a daily/weekly basis.
- Keep controller/corporate informed of day-to-day operations on show.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as Key Accountant on a production.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a variety entertainment show.
- Minimum 3 years of experience with Vista accounting system.
- Minimum 1 year experience of working with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Knowledge of guilds payroll processing.
- Knowledge of Vista 5.

Desired Characteristics:
- DeKnowledge of NABET, IATSE, AFTRA, WGA, DGA and AFM contracts.
- Familiarity with payroll systems, including E.P. and Timekeeper a plus.
- Proficient in Movie Magic Budgeting.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to adhere to all reporting deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to liaise with various internal and external personnel at show.
- Strong communications skills to maintain working relationships with all departments on show.
- Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects at once.
- Strong conflict resolution skills.
