Job Description

NBCUniversal's Enterprise Product Team builds products providing essential capabilities to organizations throughout NBCUniversal, including the TV Distribution, Studio, Home Entertainment businesses and more.

Reporting to the Manager of Product - Content Sales, we are looking for a Product Specialist to deliver industry-leading solutions for our users as we build the future platform for Content Sales across the company. These tools need to be designed to scale and integrate with various systems along our Content Supply Chain.

We leverage deep relationships with our Business Solutions and Engineering counterparts to build cohesive, end-to-end solutions our clients love to use. These applications make content delivery more seamless while building the foundation of innovative products to come.

To succeed in this role, you will need a love for the TV & Film business and appreciate the creative work that goes into creating our content.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of the company's products or services, including features, benefits, and competitive advantages.
  • Collaborate with product development teams to provide insights and identify inter-dependencies between teams.
  • Participate in product testing, prototype reviews, and usability studies to ensure products meet quality standards and user expectations.
  • Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for internal teams and customers.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to ensure stakeholders have a clear understanding of product features, benefits, and usage.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Business Solutions, IT, and support teams, to align on product goals and initiatives.
  • Facilitate communication and coordination among teams to ensure seamless execution of product-related activities.
  • Manage and upkeep the product development roadmap, actively engaging in Agile ceremonies. Capture and dissect requirements by crafting epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria, while overseeing team capacity management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum 1+ years’ experience in a role demonstrating strong technical, quantitative, and analytical skills
  • Minimum 1+ years’ experience in a role exhibiting excellent written and oral communications, effective interpersonal skills, project management, and strong formal presentation abilities
  • Be able to understand technical system diagrams and be able to discuss at a high-level with a less technical audience
  • Expertise in research, technical writing, and development of user stories

Desired Characteristics:

  • Minimum 1+ years product management experience in media, gathering client requirements, writing product and/or technical specifications, working with development teams, and managing product roadmaps as well as launches
  • At least 2 years of direct client engagement experience
  • Experience in Television/Broadcast, Media, Technology, or related field
  • Experience with Agile methodology
  • Experience with using Jira or a similar system to track and maintain feature requirements and development progress
  • Natural problem solver, who is adaptable in a fast-paced environment and is highly collaborative

Fully Remote: This position has been designated as fully remote, meaning that the position is expected to contribute from a non-NBCUniversal worksite, most commonly an employee’s residence.

This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
