Job Description

NBCUniversal is seeking a talented and experienced Systems Engineer to join our Legal, Privacy, and Sustainability (LPS) Engineering Organization within Corporate Technology. As a key member of the LPS Systems Engineering and Integration team, you will play a key role in the configuration of the consent management platform across the NBCU brands.


Responsibilities:

  • Perform CMP configuration and implementations for NBCU brands’ web sites, mobile applications, and Connected TV (CTV) applications.
  • Perform proof of concept (POC) implementations as needed to determine best implementations for brands.
  • Create CMP technical implementation documentation for integration.
  • Assist with brands’ quality assurance testing of their CMP implementations, perform privacy technical testing, and create test reports.
  • Monitor the platform for performance & compliance issues and troubleshoot any problems.
  • Update the platform as needed to stay up to date on the latest data privacy regulations.
  • Support CMP platform releases and NBCU brand site/app CMP specific launches.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline with an information technology focus, or an equivalent combination of education and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job
  • 3+ years of professional systems engineering and/or integration engineering experience
  • 1+ years of consent management platform (CMP) engineering experience
  • Experience with consent management platforms (CMP), with experience with OneTrust CMP preferred
  • Knowledge of web development technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular)
  • Proven ability to build integrations leveraging RESTful APIs
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities, critical thinking, and ability to solve technical problems
  • Ability to work well within a team environment, experience working remotely with widely distributed teams a plus
  • Ability to work independently, demonstrating initiative and self-motivation
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with teammates, cross-functional teams, and stakeholders

Desired Characteristics:

  • Familiarity with data privacy regulations like GDPR and CCPA
  • Knowledge of Web analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics) and tag management systems (e.g., Google Tag Manager, Adobe Launch)
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum practices

  • Fully Remote: This position has been designated as fully remote, meaning that the position is expected to contribute from a non-NBCUniversal worksite, most commonly an employee’s residence.
