Job Description

We seeking an Agile Technical Program Manager (TPM), reporting directly to the SVP of Engineering, who has strong technical aptitude and experience analyzing, communicating, and visualizing qualitative and quantitative metrics that provide insights across enterprise initiatives in emerging platforms.

The right person for this role is passionate about "actions over words" and wants to shape how our internal engineering teams deliver scalable, consistent deliverables with the ability to identify and mitigate technical risks throughout the delivery life-cycle proactively. The right candidate should be focused on proactively removing impediments from the project, communicating clearly, and reliably providing relevant reporting at both the team and executive levels.

As a key player, you will manage the delivery of data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and signals. This crucial role will help drive informed strategic decisions around developer metrics, generative AI trends on workloads (such as the patterns and effects on coding habits), and other areas in which we are exploring leveraging emerging technology trends. This role will empower you to shape the future of our technology strategy.

  • Create strategic dashboards and presentations that can inform and explain the efficiencies of large language models (LLMs).
  • Gather and analyze data-driven insights to the business to improve decision-making as we explore new technology areas.
  • Help create training/learning programs (in conjunction with engineering and HR) to help educate the enterprise on AI, LLMs, and critical thinking.
  • Lead technology-focused discussions with senior leadership, providing valuable insights and recommendations that guide data-based decisions in partnership with engineering.
  • Translate complex technical information into clear, concise narratives for executives and stakeholders, enabling informed decision-making and alignment with strategic goals.
  • Align stakeholders from diverse areas of the organization, ensuring unified project goals and successful outcomes.
  • Ensure all technical projects are understood, documented, and progressing.
  • Maintain complete and regular visibility of all timelines, status, progress, dependencies, risks, opportunities, etc.
  • Ensure all work is captured, vetted, planned, and tracked within JIRA, according to established practices.
  • Be an advocate, subject matter expert, and coach for agile methodologies and practices and their specific application to our technology and business domain.
  • Identify technical dependencies and challenges.
  • Evaluate and collaborate with Engineering Leadership to implement technical solutions.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in a role demonstrating strong technical, operational, and analytical skills and managing technical programs, with a lens on platform development and experience with agile delivery.
  • Proven track record in technical program management, ideally with experience in Generative AI, cybersecurity, privacy or data-driven projects.
  • Proficient in creating visually engaging and informative decks and the storytelling associated with technical concepts to stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Technical knowledge and the ability to contribute to technical design discussions.
  • Comfortable working with all levels of the organization including senior executives.
  • Proven ability to influence seniors and peers without direct authority; experience leading cross-functional initiatives with multiple stakeholders.
  • Talented communicator who skillfully facilitates team collaboration and execution from planning to project launch, with both business and technical teams
  • Self-driven, detail-oriented leader who actively works to remove barriers to achieving results.
  • Proactive change maker, identifying opportunities for improvement in team and project processes, aligning stakeholders to make positive changes, and successfully coaching teams to adopt them.
  • Successful stakeholder management in highly collaborative, multi-disciplinary development teams

Desired Characteristics:

  • 4+ years of program and/or product-related management experience in development management, gathering client requirements, writing product and/or technical specifications, working with development teams, and managing product roadmaps as well as launches.
  • Deep understanding of agile methodologies and experience leading cross-functional teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with Tableau, LLMs, GitHub, Jira, and generative AI tools
  • Experienced in defining and measuring success for process improvements and project or feature launches
