WHO YOU ARE
We are seeking a skilled and analytical healthcare Data Analyst to join our team. You will have experience in data analysis and healthcare informatics, with a strong understanding of healthcare systems and data management principles. You will be responsible for analyzing clinical, operational, and financial data to identify trends, improve patient care, optimize operational efficiency, and support policy development.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect, process, and perform statistical analyses on large datasets related to healthcare operations, patient care, financial performance, and other relevant areas. Develop and generate regular reports for management, highlighting key trends and insights.
- Performance Improvement: Use data analysis to identify areas for operational improvements and efficiency gains. Work closely with clinical and administrative staff to implement data-driven changes.
- Data Quality and Governance: Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of data used in analyses. Develop and implement data quality standards and practices.
- Contract Analytics: Evaluate pricing proposals from potential network partners and use benchmark data and Medicare pricing to assess price-per-unit savings
- Network Analytics: Evaluate emerging networks for adequacy via QHP and industry standards. Model combinations of providers with J2 to ensure optimal cost and access
- Policy and Strategy Support: Provide data-driven insights to support policy development, strategic planning, and decision-making processes within the organization.
- Healthcare Informatics: Stay updated with the latest in healthcare informatics, including electronic health records (EHR) systems and health information exchanges (HIE), to leverage data effectively.
- Compliance and Privacy: Ensure all data management practices comply with relevant laws, regulations, and standards regarding healthcare data privacy and security.
- Proven experience as a data analyst, preferably in the healthcare industry.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., SQL, R, Python, Tableau, SAS).
- Proficiency in dashboard development (e.g Tableau, Domo, Power BI)
- Knowledge of healthcare data, including clinical, operational, and financial data.
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations and standards related to data privacy (e.g., HIPAA).
- Knowledge of Medicare pricing and grouping systems (e.g. DRG, RBRVS, APC, ASC)
- Knowledge of basics of medical coding (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS Level 2)
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
