Description

We are seeking a Windows/Linux/Unix Administrator & Application Support Specialist with 3+ years of experience to manage and support our IT infrastructure and applications. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in Windows systems administration, Linux/Unix environments, and experience in providing application support to ensure the smooth operation of critical IT services.

Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in Windows system administration and application support.
  • Fluent English
  • Proficiency in Windows Server operating systems (2016, 2019, 2022).
  • Strong understanding of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and group policy management.
  • Experience with installing, configuring, and maintaining Linux/Unix systems (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu).
  • Proficiency in shell scripting and automation using Bash or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
  • Knowledge of network protocols and concepts.
  • Ability to script and automate tasks using PowerShell.
  • Experience with ITSM tools like ServiceNow or JIRA for ticket management.
  • Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: MCSA or MCSE are desired.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.


Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows servers (2016/2019/2022) to ensure their performance, security, and availability.
  • Manage Active Directory environments, including user accounts, groups, permissions, and group policies.
  • Perform regular system updates, patches, and backups for Windows environments.
  • Install, configure, and maintain Linux/Unix systems (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu) to ensure performance, security, and availability.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and security for Linux/Unix systems, and automate tasks using shell scripting.
  • Provide 2nd and 3rd-level application support for business-critical applications, resolving software-related issues.
  • Collaborate with development teams to manage application deployments, patches, and upgrades.
  • Use monitoring tools to track system and application health, responding to alerts promptly and ensuring high availability.
  • Assist users with resolving Windows OS, network, and application-related issues.
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing, and system maintenance.
  • Document issues, resolutions, and develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for IT and application support tasks.
  • Ensure security policies are followed, including antivirus, firewalls, and other security tools.
