Job Description

Location: This is a remote position, however, we are seeking a local candidate in the Atlanta area. This candidate would be required to make client visits periodically for meetings. 

The Art Director will be part of our creative services team leading the design and creative direction efforts. They should be adept at driving and growing relationships with key clientele across all levels of the organization in a fast-paced environment. Their portfolio showcases professional experience that spans a wide range of verticals including print, packaging and in-store marketing. The Art Director is adept in the creative process from intake, strategy, concept through design, development and presentation. This candidate must be passionate about design, consumer trends and a forward-thinking individual looking for new and innovate ways to deliver ideas to our clients.

Work is typically performed under minimal daily supervision, receiving guidance from manager/supervisor about the work that needs to be completed.  Able to exercise high level of discretion and latitude in completing tasks. 

  • Collaborate and work in tandem with all levels of the creative team and client to deliver best in class concepts.

  • Contribute original designs and concepts.

  • Lead creative development for print, environmental and in-store projects. 

  • Oversee and ensure brand consistency and quality across marketing production work.

  • Ensure timely and accurate project deliverables.

  • Collaborate with creative groups across departments. 

  • Remain current with industry best practices and apply them to the development of creative output.

  • Manage high-profile/high-priority client projects that are complex, non-routine and vary greatly in scope while delivering smart, creative design.

  • Follow projects throughout all stages of print production and/or online deployment prior to client approval and final release for print.

  • Interact regularly with client, creative partners and other team members as needed for completion of assigned projects.

  • Work directly with the Associate Creative Director to create best-in-class campaigns.

  • Take ownership, lead and manage/direct initiatives to successfully executes through all stages of creative development on target, on time and on budget.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in discipline related field and 8+ yrs. of experience. 

  • Impressive portfolio of imaginative work showcasing a variety of expertise including catalog design, in-store signage kits and template development.

  • Understanding of retail omni-channel marketing and the customer journey.

  • Well-versed in the Adobe Creative Suite. Figma or XD a plus but not required.

  • Experience presenting/pitching concepts to internal and external clients.

  • Creative concepting, copywriting skills (a plus) and the ability to prepare projects for print are essential.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the proven ability to exemplify EQ/IQ in the workplace with both client and team.

  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, along with the ability to interpret creative briefs.

  • Ability to juggle multiple projects to meet demanding deadlines and produce high quality deliverables.

  • Strong project management, organizational and time-management skills.

  • Responsive leadership with the ability to manage conflict resolution and diverse personalities and behavioral styles.

  • Self-motivated individual with a positive attitude and sharp attention to detail.

Additional Information

The rate of pay for this role at the noted location is $74,600 - $132,500. In addition to base pay, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include [a sign-on bonus of $2,000], overtime, shift differential, call-in, and stand-by pay.
