Job Description
This Associate National Account Manager supporting our Master Lock brand reports to the Director of Retail Sales and manages the strategic partnership of Master Lock, Yale, and Sentry Safe® products in-store & online in the Home Center, Hardware, and Co-Op channels. This is a key sales role, responsible for collaborating with customers and cross-functionally within other various customer departments. You will be providing feedback and insights to the team and other cross-functional groups within the organization, such as Demand Planning, Category Management, Finance, RGM, and Supply Chain.
Location: This is a remote position with 25% travel expected
What you will be doing:
- Lead contact for all Yale, Master Lock and Sentry Safe- store and e-commerce business as well as other functional areas that help drive profitable sales volume
- Manage independent manufacturer sales reps to develop relationships with synergistic business partners
- Develop key contacts and establish strong relationships to ensure the understanding of their organization, strategic growth and market strategies and overall success metrics
- Identify growth opportunities and align company resources to drive incremental revenue to meet and exceed annuals sales & profitability goals
- Collaborate monthly with cross-functional planning teams to develop a best-in-class 12-month SKU unit forecast
- Partner with internal analytics team to develop and deploy promotion and pricing strategies
- Identify continuous improvement (CI) opportunities and work with company resources to gain efficiency, cost savings and margin improvement
- Collaborate effectively and participate on cross-functional teams with Product Management, Merchandising, IT, Customer Service, Manufacturing, Distribution, Engineering and Field Sales management for the continuous, on-going improvement of present products, and the development of new products, marketing programs, merchandising, etc.
- Develop and implement tactical operating plans and budgets to support the Company’s strategic initiatives
- Manage T&E and all financial account responsibilities related to the business
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of national account sales experience (preferably within consumer durables)
- Experience with e-commerce sales
- Team player who can effectively balance customer and company objectives
- Collaborates well with internal and external partners and stakeholders
- Negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Ability to make tough and timely decisions
- Financial acumen to clearly understand a detailed P&L and make decisions necessary to profitably run and grow the business
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong interpersonal and presentation skills
- Strong leadership presence and ability to communicate a compelling vision
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and sales software
Nice to Have:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or related discipline
- Knowledge of developing and introducing new merchandising programs
Additional Information
Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $70,000 USD - $90,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
