Job Description
Experian is looking for an experienced Full-Stack Software Developer to support our growing Experian Housing and Verification Business. You will improve the development of Mortgage Capital Market solutions. You will design, implement, and automate data and platform solutions, and deploying machine learning models for both client. You will work with very complex and different data sets such as mortgage loan-level data, Residential Mortgage-Backed Securities data, Climate Risk and economic datasets to develop solutions across the mortgage lifecycle, including servicing, risk management, and capital markets.
Main Responsibilities:
- Understand the analytic and product needs of the mortgage servicing and capital markets industry through interactions with internal product management, sales leaders, clients, and partners.
- Work with the product team to understand the customer problem, requirements and brainstorm on solution
- Design cost-effective solutions and create an incremental delivery plan
- Support analytical projects from solution design to implementation, ensuring data integrity and automation.
- Architect and build data pipelines and platform design to help deploy data solutions from back-end databases and data lakes to front-end platform UI.
- Develop and maintain data pipeline infrastructure and front-end solutions.
- Experience approaching a problem from different angles, analyzing pros and cons of different solutions and data products and services, while enhancing current processes and offerings.
- Develop dashboards and reports using data visualization tools.
- Communicate analysis results to internal users through presentations.
- Evaluate new data sources and apply machine learning, deep learning, data mining, and text mining techniques to uncover data value.
- Collaborate with a team of consultants, statisticians, analysts, and project managers.
- Manage project queues and develop streamlined workflows with teams.
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in a related quantitative field (Data Science, Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Engineering, Physics, or Economics).
- Basic experience with API services (Restful) for data ingestion.
- Fundamental experience with Large Language Models and GenAI for augmenting data solutions.
- 5+ years of experience in analytics in financial services and/or the mortgage industry.
- Advanced experience with Python API (PySpark), SQL, scripting languages (e.g., Python), and familiarity with statistical/mathematical programming languages (e.g., R, SAS).
- Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Experience in cloud-based development environments and automation tools such as AWS and Airflow.
- Background in ML Ops and end-to-end modeling platforms (e.g., AWS Sagemaker, Google AI Platform, Azure ML).
- Experience with data visualization and dashboarding tools such as Tableau (preferred).
- Expertise in statistical analysis, machine learning techniques, predictive modeling, and data mining.
- Experience communicating updates and resolutions to customers and other partners to both technical and non-technical audiences.
