Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated individual to join our legal team as a Senior Associate Attorney (Wage & Hour). The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing a docket of employment law cases, ensuring efficient case progression, and achieving favorable outcomes for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Case Management: Oversee a docket of employment law cases, ensuring that all matters are handled in a timely, organized, and effective manner. Develop case strategies tailored to individual client needs and legal circumstances.
- Negotiation: Engage with opposing counsel in settlement discussions, utilizing negotiation skills to achieve favorable resolutions that align with clients’ best interests. Analyze case strengths, weaknesses, and risks to advise clients and pursue optimal outcomes.
- Collaboration: Work closely with fellow attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to streamline case workflows and maintain clear, consistent communication across all phases of case development. Ensure all team members are aligned on objectives and deadlines.
- Client Advocacy: Serve as a trusted advocate for clients, providing legal guidance, maintaining transparency, and addressing concerns with empathy and professionalism. Build strong relationships to foster trust and client satisfaction.
- Documentation & Compliance: Draft and review legal correspondence, settlement agreements, and other documents. Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations while maintaining meticulous records for each case.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree and admission to the state bar.
- Five (5) plus years proven experience in employment law or related legal fields, particularly in litigation or negotiation settings.
- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Team-oriented mindset with a commitment to fostering collaborative workplace relationships.
