Job Description
As a Strategic Account Manager, you will support Moen's Flo Smart Water system, a key initiative and new line of business, by fostering and growing relationships with existing and new insurance and affinity partnerships. Working closely with the Sr. Strategic Account Manager, you will manage the partnership and facilitate the relationship between the Partner and Moen. You will manage non-sales activities, provide reporting and analytics, address agent and partner inquiries, and coordinate with internal teams to drive external account development.
The ideal candidate will have at least 2-5 years of B2B account management experience and 5-10 years of overall professional experience supporting and growing a solution-based product or service. You will have demonstrated experience in building strong relationships with key account customers, along with a proven track record of managing accounts, providing data and metrics, and ensuring customer support. Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is required, along with the flexibility to travel up to 25% and work non-standard hours as business needs arise.
This role is remote-based in the United States, with a targeted salary range of $90-110K, plus bonus opportunities.
What you will be doing:
Account Support:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with assigned insurance industry accounts.
- Attain sales and cost budgets and help lead development and growth of the business in coordination with internal and partner teams.
- Handle all consumer and partner issues and opportunities, recommending priorities to the Senior Account Manager, ensuring smooth client communication, customer satisfaction, and program growth.
- Contribute to data analytics, reporting, and presentation development for various initiatives.
Market Research:
- Assist in developing market insights by analyzing trends, the competitive landscape, and customer needs.
- Gather and analyze market data to inform product positioning and business strategies.
- Monitor and report industry developments to the Business Development team.
Sales Support:
- Collaborate with the Business Development team and Sr. Account Manager to prepare sales presentations, proposals, and marketing materials.
- Track key account performance metrics and assist in preparing management reports.
Product Expertise & Advocacy:
- Develop in-depth knowledge of the Smart Water Shutoff product, including its features and benefits.
- Educate clients and partners, addressing inquiries and providing product support.
- Represent Moen at industry events, conferences, and meetings to promote the Smart Water Shutoff product.
- Be available for travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
- Utilize technology and drive internal process improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Monitor and communicate business trends, distribution patterns, and consumer attitudes to Moen headquarters.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-5 years in B2B account management and 5-10 years of overall professional experience.
- Proven ability to present to and build strong relationships with key account customers.
- Track record of supporting and growing solution-based selling rather than traditional product or service sales.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% and work non-standard hours, with flexibility to adapt to business needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Managing programs with major insurance companies is strongly preferred.
