What you will be doing
Design and build the iOS, iPadOS and WatchOS versions of Opal;
Lead engineering projects from spec, to build, to test, to ship;
Organize and oversee projects and tasks for the team;
Work with product owners to define features and implementations;
Ensure quality and performance of the applications;
Create unit tests for code for robustness, edge cases, usability, and general reliability;
Work on bug fixing and improving the application performance;
Maintain the application code base;
Design and implement application updates;
Share knowledge with your teammates;
Support our Gems and resolve their issues with Opal;
Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
What you should bring along
5+ years of experience developing iOS apps;
Having published several apps on the App Store;
Proficient in Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, Combine and the iOS toolchain;
Proficient in code versioning tools like Git;
Proficient in cloud services such as Firebase;
Experience with a range of third-party libraries and APIs;
Familiarity with push notifications, APIs and cloud messaging;
Experience with continuous integration;
Ability to take initiative and employ good judgment;
Ability to work independently and use your knowledge to resolve ambiguity;
Desire to lead a high performance squad building high performant products.
Would be nice to have
Experience with MacOS, WatchOS, WidgetKit and other Apple Frameworks;
Early-stage startup experience;
Interest in hacking or Artificial Intelligence;
Passion for saving people's time, helping people feel better and/or mindfulness in general.
