The Opportunity:

We are seeking enthusiastic, outgoing part-time Trade Show Representatives to represent Palmstreet at trade shows in the Bay Area, Los Angeles, New York, and San Diego. These events focus on plants, pottery, crafts, and other handmade goods. Your primary role will be to engage with vendors, introduce them to Palmstreet, and encourage them to join our community of sellers. Please note that this role involves walking and standing for extended periods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with vendors, educating them on the benefits of joining Palmstreet's platform for live streaming and selling their goods.

  • Collect vendor contact information and provide follow-up materials to interested parties.

  • Follow up on leads generated from trade shows, fostering lasting relationships with potential partners.

  • Prospect leads and update the CRM pipeline accordingly.

  • Close marketing-qualified leads where applicable.

  • Communicate with new customers via phone and email to encourage platform participation.

  • Collaborate with the Palmstreet team to report on trade show experiences, vendor feedback, and potential opportunities.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Palmstreet's platform features, benefits, and recent developments to effectively communicate with vendors.

  • Be available for business travel within your region, which may include weekends and holidays.

Qualifications:

Important: This role requires extensive off-site travel based on market schedules in your area. Trade shows typically span two days. Please ensure you can meet these travel obligations before applying.

  • Reside in one of the specified regions (Bay Area, Los Angeles, New York, San Diego).

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable engaging with diverse groups of people.

  • Experience in sales, customer service, or event representation is a plus.

  • Passion for crafts, plants, or handmade goods, with a genuine interest in the trade show community.

  • Self-motivated, able to work independently, and manage time effectively.

  • Willingness to travel to trade shows and fairs within your region.

  • Familiarity with live streaming platforms or e-commerce is a bonus but not required.

  • Availability on weekends and holidays to attend trade shows.

Expected Work Hours and Compensation:

  • Job Type: Part-time contractor

  • Pay: $25 an hour

  • Expected Hours: Monthly hours vary, ranging from 0 to 40, depending on demand.

  • Work Location: In-person at assigned trade shows.

  • Commute: Must be able to commute to trade show locations in your region.
