The Senior Manager, Business & Sales Development leads a dynamic team of Business Development Representatives (BDRs) and Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) focused on generating a robust sales pipeline through both inbound and outbound efforts. This role is crucial in driving team success and fostering a culture of excellence. The ideal candidate will possess strategic leadership abilities, and have a profound understanding of B2B prospecting methodologies. As a pivotal leader for EMEA, you will drive results, inspire your team, and continuously innovate to propel business growth.

\n- Extensive sales experience: 7+ years of experience in sales-related roles, with 2+ of proven experience in managing both BDR/SDR teams in B2B environments across EMEA.
- Experience leading a distributed team across multiple regions in EMEA
- Experienced in collaborating with Marketing to optimize inbound lead flow and strategically expand EMEA presence.
- Demonstrated success in generating a high-quality sales pipeline within a SaaS or B2B organization. Cybersecurity experience is desirable.
- Ability to tailor inbound and outbound sequences and scripts by persona and industry for maximum effectiveness.
- Experience recruiting, hiring, and developing high-performing individuals
- Passionate about coaching, motivating, and mentoring team members to reach their full potential.
- Strong analytical abilities, with a talent for leveraging data to inform decision-making and strategy development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrated ability to inspire and influence stakeholders and team members at all levels
- Fluency in French or German, in addition to English, is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with sales technologies and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Outreach, Gong)
- Team Leadership:
- Lead and Mentor: Expand & oversee a team of BDRs and SDRs, providing guidance, support, and motivation.
- Training and Development: Ensure the team has the necessary skills and knowledge by providing ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
- Sales Strategy & Roadmap:
- Develop Strategies: Create and implement strategies to identify and engage potential customers (leads) - Translate customer success strategies into a roadmap to ensure alignment with 1P's business objectives.
- Target Setting: Set clear targets and goals for the team to achieve in terms of lead generation and qualification.
- Performance Management:
- Monitor Progress & Mentoring: Track the team's performance against targets, provide feedback and provide consistent coaching to ensure team efficiency and goal achievement.
- Report Results: Regularly report on the team's progress and outcomes to higher management.
- Process Improvement:
- Optimize Workflows: Continuously look for ways to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the sales development process (inbound and outbound). -Stay abreast of industry trends and incorporate relevant insights to keep the team ahead of the curve
- Implement Tools: Introduce and manage tools and technologies that can help the team work better and faster. Leverage sales tools such as Salesforce, Outreach, and Linkedin Sales Navigator to drive results.
- Collaboration:
- Work with Sales Teams: Collaborate closely with the sales team to ensure leads are properly handed off and followed up.
- Align with Marketing: Coordinate with the marketing team to ensure alignment on messaging and campaigns that generate leads.
- Facilitate open communication channels cross functionally to share insights and improve overall business processes.
We believe in the power of remote work, but we also recognize that some in-person connection with team members and customers is important to help us achieve our mission. While we are a remote-first company, occasional travel for in-person engagement will be a part of this role. This may include but is not limited to bi-annual department-wide offsites, quarterly department meetings and periodic customer events. These events will typically be held in varying locations across Canada and the USA. In leadership roles, you can expect to travel once per month on average.
