JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Penn State New Kensington is accepting applications for a part time Athletics Administrative Support position. The Administrative Support position supports the general administrative functions of the Penn State New Kensington Athletics Department. This support includes serving as the primary point of contact for the office, assisting with communications and document preparation, coordinating calendars and meetings, and assisting with budget maintenance. Greet customers/visitors, provide information and/or refer as appropriate; review and direct phone and mail communications; act on routine requests Schedule and maintain calendar of appointments and meetings; schedule classrooms or conference rooms May coordinate travel arrangements, make reservations, and process reimbursements Compile and organize materials from different sources to draft e-mails and memos, prepare documents, meeting materials, and reports Proofread materials to ensure proper grammar/formatting Process and review routine payroll and/or human resources forms Create and maintain work unit files and databases Perform data entry; gather, assemble and format data to create simple reports Update and make routine changes to web pages Attend meetings; record, transcribe and distribute meeting minutes Serve as resource to others on a variety of subjects including office equipment, software application usage, and information processing procedures May maintain inventory and order/purchase office supplies; arrange for equipment maintenance; process work orders for facilities repairs/needs Assist in arranging special events Assist with planning and coordination of projects May provide training and/or supervision of student and other support staff This job requires the following 3 publicly available clearances: • PA State Police Criminal Background Check • PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form • FBI Criminal Background Check The Pennsylvania State University is committed to and accountable for advancing diversity, equity, inclusion, and sustainability in all of its forms.
