Where you come in.
Pepper is looking for a highly creative and organized Social Media and Community Associate to help us build meaningful connections with our customers and grow our online presence. This is a dynamic and collaborative role where you’ll partner with cross-functional teams across Marketing, Product, and Customer Experience to create and manage engaging social content, foster community interaction, and ensure our brand's voice resonates with our audience. The impact you’ll be making is bringing Pepper to life for our online community and empowering millions of women to discover the confidence that comes with a great-fitting bra.
The role.
Community (40%)
- Supervise and respond to all public comments on organic Instagram and TikTok, ensuring alignment with the brand's tone and voice, including engaging with tagged content and industry-relevant moments.
- Moderate public comments on paid social ads when necessary.
- Actively moderate the Pep Squad Facebook group.
- Partner with the Customer Retention Team to develop and implement strategies for customer engagement using social features and tools like Broadcast Channels, Close Friends, and IG and TT Lives.
- Onboard Gorgias software to improve social listening.
- Partner with Merchandising, Product, and Customer Experience teams to identify and produce product-specific educational content.
Social Media/Content Creation (40%)
- Publish all organic social content either natively in real-time (including weekends) or scheduled in advance using LATER. Ensure performance optimization by adding trackable UTMs, adding @handles and product tags, and keeping the Link in Bio updated.
- Oversee the Instagram Story program (3-5 stories per week), ensuring a mix of evergreen storytelling, product launches, and promotions, from concept development to posting.
- Review weekly TikTok video batches (10 total—5 per contractor), providing feedback for edits and final approval.
- Provide TikTok contractors with a bi-weekly trend report that surfaces inspiration, trending sounds, and fresh ideas for content.
- Increase TikTok output by focusing on "in-house" content creation and driving virality.
- Put together original TikTok video edits using UGC video clips from content creators in our Google Drive.
- Identify opportunities to adapt, repurpose, and share organic social content across multiple channels. (For example, share an Instagram Reel on TikTok or flag a trending organic video for the Growth Team to consider for paid ads.)
- Broaden content reach by repurposing video content for YouTube Shorts and moderating the channel.
- Assist the Senior Social Media Manager with EOM reporting for organic TikTok and Instagram, compiling data into a spreadsheet and creating a visual recap deck.
- Maintain IG Story Highlights and keep the Link in Bio updated with new content and links.
- Organize BTS footage, videography, and other assets in Google Drive.
- Work alongside the Senior Social Media Manager to brainstorm and brief Instagram feed content.
- Conceptualize, create, and edit 3–5 pieces of weekly content for Instagram Reels and TikTok.
Brand Support (20%)
- Provide support to the Brand Team during major annual events and initiatives, including the $5k Startup Grant for Black Women, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, AAPI Heritage Month, Pepper’s Anniversary, and other key milestones throughout the year.
- Assist with research projects for the brand team.
- Support our Brand & Integrated Marketing Director in managing the campaign calendar.
- Update calendars, Asana tasks, and documents to maintain project alignment.
- Take and distribute notes from key meetings, ensuring actionable next steps.
- Assign due dates, track key deliverables, and follow up with team members to ensure deadlines are met.
- Coordinate brainstorm sessions, pre- and post-mortems, and regular team check-ins.
- Assist with draft and manage campaign copy briefs and one-off copywriting tasks.
- Support outreach and coordination for co-branded posts and partnerships, including giveaways and collaborations with content creators.
- Goal of 1 giveaway per month and 2 brand partner collaborator posts per month.

- 1-2 years of experience in marketing, social media, community management

The expected salary for this role is $45,000 - $55,000, though the final offer will reflect several factors such as your experience, skills, and the role’s location and may be outside of this number. Candidates should expect offers that reflect their individual qualifications, experience, and location. The salary provided is directional and actual compensation may vary.
