We are partnering with an innovative German company focused on detecting visual anomalies in logistics. Supported by a renowned logistics enterprise vendor and solution provider, the project focuses on developing edge-device solutions, primarily using smartphones, to identify anomalies directly on-site. The computer vision models and algorithms are designed to operate independently on these devices, ensuring efficient and accurate anomaly detection in various logistics environments. The mission of the project is to revolutionize the market for visual anomaly detection, aiding logistics facilities in achieving enhanced performance with fewer errors.
About the Role:
We are seeking a talented Machine Learning Engineer with Computer Vision experience to join a dynamic team of machine learning engineers. As part of our innovative culture, you won't be confined to specific tasks but will join efforts to explore different approaches and craft our machine learning pipelines to achieve meaningful and measurable results.
Responsibilities:
- Understanding product functionality and the value it delivers to users.
- Utilizing existing tools and models for automated data annotation.
- Experimenting with different techniques for object, pattern, and anomaly detection in images.
- Deploying models behind APIs and on smartphones.
- Testing and comparing the performance of various models.
- 5+ years of experience as a software engineer specializing in computer vision or machine learning.
- Expertise in architecting and deploying AI/ML pipelines.
- Experience with Linux systems.
- A passion for technology and a commitment to continuous learning.
- A desire to see your work quickly implemented and used by real customers.
- Enjoyment in problem-solving and a collaborative mindset.
- Ability to jump into new use cases and think creatively.
- Comfort in speaking up, exchanging feedback, and sharing ideas openly.
- A clear path for personal development in machine learning and computer vision.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills.
- Fluent English both spoken and written.
Practical Details:
- This is a contracting position for 12 months initially (potential for extension)
- The position is full time 40h per week (no part-time option available)
- The position has local (CET) working hours
- Salary is paid monthly in gross US Dollars
