Job Description
Under the General Supervision of the Lab Systems Director, the Clinical Interface Analyst acts as a technical liaison between the laboratory equipment and information technology. The analyst is primarily responsible for interfacing the laboratory instrumentation to the laboratory information system (LIS), translating laboratory needs into IT solutions, providing first or second level support for interface related items, and managing interfacing projects, keeping in mind the need for promptness and high level of quality.
Primary Job Duties:
- Provide on-going support and maintenance of laboratory applications executing routine system administration and maintenance activities as required (including after hour coverage if required).
- Support laboratory sections by providing section specific operational, computational and instructional needs that go beyond the basic support offered by IT. Defines problems, collects data and proposes computer-based solutions Act as a subject matter expert and clearly communicate concepts across the different groups influencing the outcomes Coordinate with users and vendors to facilitate timely resolution of software/hardware issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve laboratory technical issues for laboratory instruments, servers and software, or scientific equipment setup/interfaces.
- Create and maintain system documentation: LIS manual and process documentation.
- Evaluate reported software problems and determine course of action for resolution.
- Train users on lab application systems as needed Produce reports on laboratory IT operations Perform LIS validations with the Lab Development team Document and analyze laboratory process workflows.

- Ensure that operations are conducted in accordance with applicable accreditation, statutory and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Information Technology, Medical Technology, or Life Sciences or and/or related experience preferred.
- At least 3 years' experience in the clinical laboratory or healthcare IT is preferred.
- Proficiency in all Microsoft applications Excellent Verbal and Written Skills Excellent project management skills Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Project management experience with the skill to prioritize multiple projects and urgent deliverables while providing exceptional client service.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills required
- Appropriately communicate with leadership.
- Must comply with HIPAA rules and regulations.
The salary range for this role is $70,400-$88,000 in base pay and exclusive of any bonuses or benefits. This role is also eligible for an annual bonus targeted at 15% and restricted stock units. The base pay offered will be determined based on relevant factors such as experience, education, and geographic location.
