ABOUT THE ROLE
Procurify is in the market for a domain expert who’s ready to move mountains to be our VP of Sales. This is a literal “break the ceiling” opportunity - the growth potential of our platform in the mid-market is limitless (if done right). This individual needs to be obsessed with our customers, our people and our product.
You’ll own the Sales and Business Development team and tenaciously build out the short and long-term playbooks. You’ll drive revenue growth by collaborating closely with business leaders across key functional areas, including product, engineering, sales and marketing, account management, and finance.
What you’ll be working on
Revenue Growth and Expansion
Drive aggressive revenue growth targets - expanding into new verticals, upselling, and improving sales processes.
Manage all of the numbers up and to the right
Team Leadership and Development
Lead, coach, and scale the sales team - we want top performers! Get into the deal details to coach the right behaviors
Create better domain expertise on the team and help them dominate selling into the office of the CFO
Constantly network - right people, right seats should be your manta
Forecasting and Pipeline Management
We’re looking to hit 4X our pipeline - relentlessness is key
Partner with Finance, Marketing and Partnerships to drive accuracy and predictability
Drive GTM and R&D Feedback Loops
Aggregate customer feedback on weigh in on the Product Roadmap - represent what our customers want/need and what how we’re going to sell it
Iterate and continuously improvement pricing packages and positioning
Sales Operations Optimization
Implement and refine sales processes, CRM systems, and performance metrics.
Optimize the use of sales tools and technologies to improve efficiency.
KPIs you’re going to hit:
Revenue Growth
Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
Year-over-year growth rate for both new customer acquisition and expansion revenue
Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) vs. Customer Lifetime Value (CLTV)
Ensure the ratio of CLTV to CAC remains healthy, indicating that customer acquisition efforts are profitable over the long term.
Sales Quota Attainment
Percentage of sales team hitting their quotas on a monthly/quarterly basis.
Teamwide attainment of overall revenue targets.
Churn Rate
Keep churn rate at a minimum to ensure customer retention and recurring revenue stability, and work closely with Procurify’s CX team to ensure customer success.
Sales Cycle Length
Track and aim to shorten the average sales cycle length, indicating efficiency in closing deals.
Pipeline Health
Value of the sales pipeline, including the number of opportunities, size, and movement through stages.
Pipeline coverage ratio (pipeline value compared to revenue targets).
Forecast Accuracy
Ensure sales forecasts are accurate, minimizing the gap between forecasted and actual sales.
Sales Productivity
Average revenue per sales rep and overall team productivity.
Time spent on selling activities vs. administrative tasks.
Market Penetration and New Market Development
Percentage of revenue coming from new markets or verticals targeted in the growth plan.
Who we’re looking for
10+ years of professional experience, with 2+ years in sales leadership roles
Domain expertise in Procurement, Expense, AP, Payments or ERP/Financials sales
Proven success in SaaS sales, particularly in commercial or mid-market segments
Demonstrated experience leading sales teams in a remote environment, across diverse geographies, with an understanding of regional dynamics and business practices
A track record of achieving or exceeding revenue targets in a high-growth environment
Strong people leadership skills, with a focus on developing talent, driving engagement, and building inclusive cultures
Values alignment with how we operate - make bold decisions, leverage data, employ first principles thinking, over communicate everything!
A strong bias for execution and ability to articulate key information to stakeholders
Ability to challenge, change, coach and be coached
Exceptional emotional intelligence, exemplified by self-awareness and empathy, to gain the trust and commitment necessary for buy in and transformative change

OTE Range: $300,000 - $375,000
