PRI Talent is hiring a Sr. Software Dev Engineer on behalf of our client. This role is a full-time, 1099 contract staff augmentation position working with a company that is a leader in reducing electronic waste and finding value in gently used electronics. The Sr. Software Dev Engineer is a full-stack development position. You will be a core member of a fast-paced engineering team responsible for expanding our Kiosk applications, services, and databases. You will be responsible for designing and implementing new product features, adhering to and lease schedules, and establishing and supporting existing systems.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.
Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate on cross-functional agile teams that include Product Owners, QA Engineers, Data Engineers, and fellow Software Engineers to design and implement the next generations of Kiosk applications and servicesParticipate in our agile/scrum software engineering processesWork with product management to understand and validate user and technical requirementsWork with project management to establish development and release schedulesWork with engineering team members to support & diagnose existing systemsDesign and implement scale-able, secure, and high-performing microservices to support our Kiosk user interface and operationsInterface with a variety of AWS-managed services and databasesImplement well-architected, well-documented, high-quality code at a fast paceMentor other team members on software development best practices
Education & ExperienceBS/MS in Computer Science or 4+ years of equivalent work experience8+ years overall software technology experience, including developing and maintaining large-scale enterprise applications.Experience migrating from WCF to WebAPI a plusExperience migrating from monolith to microservices a plusExperience with security, logging, monitoring (DataDog) best practicesElasticache / Redis and cache strategies,Proficient understanding of web verbs, JSON and XML protocolsJavascript libraries: Knockout, Angular, Bootstrap, Underscore, Moment, jquerySQS, SNS, or Kafka,Full-Stack C# / ASP.NET,C# , .NET 4.5+ | Core, WebAPI, MVC,Javascript, HTML, CSSStrong experience with the AWS ecosystem and services.
