Ads Marketplace Quality team is growing and we are looking for an experienced software engineer to be part of the journey of developing a world-class marketplace and optimizing for users, advertisers and Reddit value.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing a vision to improve our Ads Marketplace. You will design and implement auction algorithms that improve ads delivery funnel, build an auction simulation environment to enable new business cases like new auction algorithms and improved bidding products, design experiments and generate insights to shape the utility function, and innovate pricing mechanisms to improve advertisers and Reddit value.
This person will be an industry technical leader with domain knowledge in marketplace dynamics, strong execution and cross-functional management skills.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build and improve backend systems to maximize values for users, advertisers and Reddit
- Build and execute a vision and roadmap for the auction simulator
- Lead junior engineers in implementing technical designs
- Collaborate with product managers and data scientists to innovate and build products
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience working as a Software Engineer
- Relevant experience in improving ads marketplace dynamics
- Experience in building auction simulator is preferred but not required
- MS or PhD degree in Computer Science, Statistics or related field
- Strong software engineering and system design skills
- Desire to mentor other engineers and level-up the team’s strength
