Position:
The SDET will work closely with the rest of the QA Team and R&D to expand the automation coverage of the application, maintain existing coverage as the Application changes, and provide support for product Releases. The SDET will also contribute to expanding and updating the automated pipelines in order to streamline the testing efforts and ensure a fast turnaround. A successful candidate will work closely with the Development team to update the automation coverage as new functionality is being developed. They will also work with QA manual testers to develop new automated regression tests. Additionally, the SDET will be able to take on large projects and work independently as needed and escalate appropriately when they need support. While the position is primarily a coding role, the SDET will also be tasks occasionally to assist with some of the manual testing activities.
Position must be a US Citizen and is subject to a background check and unannounced drug testing requirements. Position allows remote work but will occasionally travel to our Knoxville, TN office. Activities:
- Contribute to the planning and implementation of entire test frameworks that scale
- Create automated API test coverage
- Automate web application testing
- Maintain and expand CI/CD pipelines
- Self-starter with a passion for continuous learning and personal development
- Coordinate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to understand compliance and security
- Assist with feature and bug validation when needed
- Complete other tasks required by management
Required Skills:
- Minimum of 3 years experience with API and web test automation
- Strong working knowledge of Selenium
- Fluent in Python in a test automation and orchestration capacity
- Experience setting up pipelines with GitHub Actions or similar tools
- Experience with modern containerization tooling such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Deep understanding and working experience with all QA activities including, but not limited to test planning, unit testing, smoke testing, and regression testing
- Fluent with Agile Project Management, Scrum processes, and operating in a geographically distributed project environment
- Experience working in Cloud environments such as AWS or Azure
- Familiar with SQL Server and queries
- Self-starter with a track record of meeting commitments
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in Cybersecurity and Compliance
- GitOps familiarity for performing source code configuration management using Git-based tools (GitHub) with multiple branches
- Ability to automate the use of Cloud resources to enable test scalability
- Experience with performance testing
Education/Training, Qualifications, and Certification:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or similar technical/engineering degree and 5 years experience, or
- Minimum of Master’s Degree in Computer Science or similar technical/engineering degree and 3 years experience
- Non-degree - minimum of 10 years experience in IT with QA related certifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills while working well as part of an integrated team
- Must be a US Citizen and capable of passing a background check and random periodic drug testing
