We are a small but strong team of 100+ people (and growing) hyper-focussed on delivering a world-class platform and unparalleled service with our industry-leading partnerships. We are looking for a Payroll Systems Expert who combines deep payroll operations knowledge with experience working alongside Product and Engineering teams to develop and optimize payroll-related modules. In this role, you will bridge the gap between payroll compliance and product innovation, ensuring seamless payroll solutions that meet business needs and regulatory requirements.

What you'll be doing:
  •  Payroll Expertise & Compliance.
- Serve as the payroll subject matter expert (SME), ensuring compliance with country-specific payroll regulations.
- Provide insights on multi-country payroll processes, including tax compliance, statutory deductions, and payroll automation.
- Collaborate with payroll operations teams to identify gaps and optimize payroll workflows.
  • Product & Engineering Collaboration.
- Work closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and Designers to define payroll module features and improvements in the platform
- Translate payroll requirements into functional product specifications, ensuring seamless integrations and automation.
- Validate product designs from a payroll perspective to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.
- Test new payroll features and enhancements, providing real-world payroll scenarios for validation.
  • Process & System Optimization.
- Identify pain points in payroll execution and propose product-driven solutions to enhance automation and efficiency.
- Partner with Engineering teams to improve payroll data accuracy, reporting, and integrations.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration & Support.
- Act as a key liaison between payroll operations, finance, compliance, and product teams.
- Provide input on local labor law changes that impact payroll processes.
- Support internal teams with payroll-related training and documentation.


What you’ll need:
  • Payroll Operations Knowledge – Strong understanding of global payroll processes, compliance, and reporting.
  • Product & Engineering Collaboration – Experience working with Product and Engineering teams to build payroll-related solutions in a Payroll system.
  • Technical Fluency – Ability to translate payroll operations into functional product requirements and workflows.
  • Process Optimization Mindset – Strong analytical skills to identify inefficiencies and propose scalable solutions.
  • Project Management Skills – Ability to drive payroll-related product initiatives from ideation to execution.
  • HR Tech Knowledge – Experience with HRIS, payroll software, or ERP integrations is a plus.
