Role Overview
A creative and detail-oriented Marketing Designer is being sought to join their growing team. In this role, the individual will play a key part in shaping the visual identity and driving the design of marketing assets that engage, inspire, and convert. The role involves leading creative direction and design concepting for all marketing campaigns. Working closely with the Growth, Lifecycle, and Product Design teams, this role will bring campaigns to life through thoughtful, on-brand designs across the platforms.
The ideal candidate has experience designing for consumer software startups and a strong understanding of creating user-centric design principles. This role requires a balance of creativity and strategic thinking, with a passion for optimizing the marketing user journey through visual design. Additionally, the candidate will take a hands-on approach to managing social media content, ensuring a consistent and impactful brand presence.
Key Responsibilities
Creative Design & Production
- Design and produce a wide variety of marketing assets across channels, including:
- Digital ads (e.g., Meta, Google, TikTok)
- Social media graphics and templates
- Email and SMS templates
- Landing pages (Unbounce) and website elements (Shopify)
- Develop visual assets for campaigns, product launches, and promotions, ensuring they align with the brand's style guide.
Collaboration
- Work closely with the Growth and Performance Marketing teams to design assets that drive conversions and engagement.
- Partner with the Brand and Content teams to ensure a cohesive visual identity across all touch points.
- Partner with the Product and Product Design teams to co-create intuitive, user-centric touchpoints throughout the marketing user journey, ensuring seamless integration of design elements that align with both the brand and product experience.
- Collaborate with copywriters, developers, and external vendors to execute designs effectively.
Brand Consistency
- Maintain and evolve the brand’s visual guidelines, ensuring consistency across all materials.
- Act as a brand steward, providing feedback and direction to internal and external stakeholders when necessary.
- Build and refine consistent design templates across platforms.
Innovation & Optimization
- Take ownership of the creative direction and design concepting for all marketing campaigns, including brainstorming, ideation, and visual storytelling. Develop and refine campaign design themes, ensuring they align with brand guidelines and resonate with target audiences.
- Collaborate closely with the marketing and content teams to translate strategic goals into compelling visuals and assets that drive engagement and conversions across digital, print, and social media channels.
- Develop a point of view on how the brand can continue to evolve to effectively communicate the vision to customers.
- Experiment with visual storytelling formats and formats to keep marketing assets fresh and engaging.
- Continuously optimize designs based on performance data and feedback from cross-functional teams.
- Stay up to date with the latest design tools, techniques, and trends.
Design Execution and Management
- Take full ownership of posting finalized designs to social media platforms, ensuring content is optimized for each platform and aligns with marketing goals.
- Upload and manage designs within the email marketing platform (Klaviyo) for review and approval, ensuring timely delivery and consistency with campaign objectives.
- Utilize landing page tools (such as Unbounce) to design, optimize, and publish landing pages that support campaigns, product launches, and user engagement efforts.
Qualifications
- 2–5 years of experience in graphic design, preferably in marketing for a consumer software startup or tech brand.
- Strong portfolio showcasing marketing-related design projects, including digital ads, social graphics, and landing pages.
- Proficiency in design tools. Current design files are exclusively in Figma – Figma proficiency required. Design knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) is also expected.
- A huge plus: Illustration and/or animation/motion design experience.
- Experience designing for paid media platforms (Meta, Google, TikTok) and email marketing tools (e.g., Klaviyo).
- Experience designing and optimizing social media content, including Instagram static posts, carousels, and IG Stories.
- Basic knowledge of Shopify, web design principles, and responsive design (HTML/CSS experience is a plus).
- Solid understanding of layout, typography, and visual hierarchy principles.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.

- Align with the Marketing Team on campaign priorities, performance insights, and upcoming initiatives.
- Strategize with the Growth Team on paid media campaigns, focusing on visual messaging and engagement.
Tuesday
- Collaborate with Product Design to ensure marketing assets align with the brand’s product experience.
- Develop and storyboard creative concepts for an upcoming product launch.
Wednesday
- Present and refine campaign design concepts with Content, Growth, and Lifecycle teams.
- Analyze campaign performance data and optimize designs for better engagement.
Thursday
- Design email templates with the Lifecycle Marketing Team, balancing strategy and visual appeal.
- Direct external creative partners to ensure their work aligns with the visual identity.
Friday
- Showcase completed work in a design review with the Marketing and Product Design Teams and align on next steps.
- Reflect on the week, prepare for upcoming initiatives, and explore new design trends and tools.
