About the Role

The Clinical Quality Specialist is a go-to resource for therapists and Rula’s internal teams to offer guidance and direction on clinical and administrative issues that arise in telehealth private practice.  The person in this role will be a valued member of the Clinical Quality team– engaged in identifying knowledge and practice gaps based on quality indicators, initiating and executing supportive improvement plans for low performing providers, creating and delivering professional development for adult learners, and offering peer support to providers across the country. The person in this role will also be expected to have a strong ability to make an unbiased determination on the accuracy of clinical documentation and to help improve documentation practices across Rula’s diverse therapist network. 

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree and an active unencumbered clinical license in any state (LCSW, LMFT, LPC or equivalent)

  • >8 years of licensed clinical therapy experience with a variety of populations

  • Working knowledge of documentation requirements in behavioral health as it relates to clinician’s ethical responsibilities, and commercial payor standards

  • Clinical quality improvement, peer review, and/or clinical supervision background required

  • 2 years in a private practice setting

Preferred Qualifications

  • Solid understanding of CPT codes in behavioral health

  • Able to work with Google Suite

  • Experience in a start-up environment

  • Experience leading peer clinical consultation groups 

  • Supportive, respectful, confident approach to coaching therapists
