Description

We’re on the lookout for a talented Lead Unreal Engineer to be a part of a growing development team for a Video Game company. In this role, you will take charge of our Unreal Engine team: You’ll lead the design and implementation of complex systems, optimize gameplay, and ensure top-notch experiences across our IPs and AA/AAA co-development projects, including some exciting Web3 initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Unreal Engineers, offering guidance on coding standards, system design, and optimization techniques.
  • Oversee the development of gameplay mechanics, tools, and core systems in Unreal Engine to keep performance sharp across platforms for AA/AAA and Web3 projects.
  • Work closely with designers, artists, and other team leads to balance creative ideas with smart, practical solutions.
  • Profile and optimize performance to boost frame rates, stability, and memory efficiency.
  • Set up and maintain coding standards and workflows, with clear documentation to keep things scalable and organized.
  • Get involved in recruiting and mentoring your team, helping everyone grow and improve.
  • Where it makes sense, integrate Web3 elements while keeping the gameplay experience smooth and engaging.

Requirements
  • 6+ years in Unreal Engine development, with strong C++ skills and experience leading teams.
  • Experience in AA/AAA game development. Alternatively, experience in developing complex or large-scale games for PC, Web, and Consoles is also highly valued.
  • Proven chops in performance optimization, especially in gameplay and rendering.
  • Great problem-solving skills and a collaborative attitude for working across teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • A strong track record of mentoring, coaching, and driving your team toward success.

This is a remote position where you would be accountable for your own work so efficient time-management and collaboration skills are a must.
