At SearchStax, we’re on a mission to revolutionize Search and we believe that strong pre-sales leadership is pivotal to our success. We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced pre-sales leader who is passionate about understanding customer needs, fostering client relationships, and leading a high-performing team.
In this role you’ll serve as a player / coach and help take our pre-sales engineering function to the next level. You'll partner closely with our CEO/Founder and the rest of our executive team. You’ll lead technical discovery, create compelling POCs, deliver presentations, and do what it takes to help win business. You’ll also lead, mentor, and develop other sales engineers. This is an ideal role for someone who would like to potentially transition into a people or technical leadership role in the next 18-24 months.
As a true builder, you’ll spearhead the development of cutting-edge sales assets aimed at revolutionizing site search experiences for both commercial and enterprise markets. You'll build a comprehensive library of demos, proof-of-concepts, presentations, and code examples tailored to meet diverse customer needs. Define and implement a streamlined technical discovery process that ensures accurate solution scoping and optimal utilization estimation, laying the foundation for seamless project planning and execution.
As a technical expert, you'll lead regular training sessions and knowledge-sharing initiatives, equipping our sales team with in-depth product insights, industry best practices, and competitive advantages.

What You Will Do
Be a Player / Coach: Work closely with our Account Executive and Partnerships teams. Lead technical discovery, uncover opportunities, develop POC which showcase our products, and help win business. In parallel, lead, coach, and develop other sales engineers.
Develop and Refine Sales Assets: In collaboration with marketing, create a robust library of technical sales assets (demos, PoCs, presentations, code examples) tailored for both commercial and enterprise markets, with a focus on seamless site search experiences.
Establish Pre-Sales Technical Process: Define and document a streamlined technical discovery and project planning process for both commercial and enterprise prospects. This includes identifying key customer needs, solution scoping, and accurate utilization estimation.
Own Technical Enablement: Deliver regular training sessions or knowledge-sharing resources to empower our sales team with product expertise, industry use cases, and competitive differentiation.
What You Must Have
About 7-10+ years of pre-sales engineering experience. Ideally, a mix of experience in both early-stage + enterprise SaaS companies.
Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments, take ownership of learning new technologies, and creating innovative solutions to meet evolving customer needs.
Demonstrated success in solution design, technical project delivery, and partnering with AE’s to help win business within a client-facing consultative sales engineering role.
Track record of effectively collaborating with sales teams and technical stakeholders in both commercial and large-scale enterprise organizations, ideally supporting a SaaS site search solution.
Exceptional storytelling skills paired with ability to translate complex technical concepts into compelling narratives for both technical and business decision-makers.
Exposure to site search solutions or roles where understanding of search technologies was pivotal.
Technical skills: Salesforce, Google Suite, ReactJS, NativeJS, HTML, and CSS. Exposure to various cloud platforms, databases, and search related technologies.

Pay Transparency
Base Salary: The initial OTE for this role is estimated to range from $225,000 to $290,000.
Salary Structure: Our salary ranges are determined by market analysis and are designed to evolve with job performance over time.
Additional Benefits: Beyond base salaries, SearchStax employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, with potential for equity and performance-based bonuses.
