About the Opportunity
As the founding backend engineer, you will collaborate closely with our CTO and other team members to design and shape the current and future of our backend systems, infrastructure, CI / CD processes. Also, develop the backend applications for all of our mobile applications.

What Youโll Do
Selecting and defining the appropriate tech stack for our backend applications.
Implementing and maintaining scalable and reliable backend systems using languages like Python, Node.js, Java, Kotlin or similar.
Designing and defining backend tools, databases, and architecture to ensure scalability, security, and efficiency.
Developing and delivering high-quality backend systems in conjunction with mobile engineers.
Implementing RESTful API design and integration points.
Utilizing Cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) to optimize backend infrastructure for scalability and performance.
Implementing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless and efficient software delivery.
Monitoring and optimizing backend performance, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions.
Creating tools, libraries, or components to enhance the efficiency of backend development processes.
What we are looking for
Backend Engineering:
Proficiency in backend development with languages like Python, Node.js, Java, Kotlin, or similar. Backend testing experience is a must.
Track record of building and maintaining scalable and reliable backend systems.
Knowledge of RESTful API design and integration points.
System Architecture:
Expertise in designing scalable and maintainable backend architectures, and understanding when to apply different architectural patterns.
Ability to optimize backend systems for performance, reliability, and security.
Capable of monitoring the whole architecture using tools like NewRelic or Datadog in order to measure the systems availability, performance, quality. etc.
Data Management and Integration:
Experience with data modeling, storage, and retrieval.
Knowledge of integrating backend systems with various third-party services.
Infrastructure and CI/CD Experience:
Experience in deploying backend systems to Cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) for scalability and resilience.
Understanding of containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Proficiency in setting up and optimizing CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, deployment, and continuous integration using tools like: Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI
Collaboration and Communication across the board:
Capable of actively participating in discussions with all stakeholders on every step of the development process with a solution-oriented mindset.
Effective communication and collaboration in a team environment with business professionals, designers, and other developers.
