Join us at Spotify, where our data platform supports 8,000+ employees in making informed decisions behind the scenes and fuels over 600 million Monthly Active Users’ Discover Weekly. Our platform is essential to our company’s decision-making DNA and drives our mission to bring audio to the entire world. We handle over 2 petabytes of data daily, maintaining and advancing the platform to offer developers and data practitioners an exceptional experience.
Imagine your daily commute with headphones on, eager to open Spotify, only to find your Daylist hasn’t refreshed since yesterday. Yeah, we don’t want that version of the platform either! While our team’s day to day consists of writing and maintaining backend and frontend services, and data pipelines that serve thousands of data practitioners, having a strong understanding of users' day-to-day—writing and operating data pipelines, maintaining awareness of upstreams and downstreams, ensuring quality of their data, and more—is paramount.
