Spotify is hiring a Web engineer to join our Amplify Ad Formats Team. We work at the intersection of advertising and user experience to connect millions of brands to billions of fans. You’ll help us define and materialize our vision to improve the ad experience for our users and advertisers.
\n- Contribute to a cross-functional team within Ad Formats throughout the development stack, solving problems at scale for our users.
- Collaborate with engineering squads across Spotify, to support their knowledge and educate them on our portfolio of ad formats.

- Promote sound engineering practices, drive work on technical strategy and roadmaps.
- You’re an experienced Javascript developer with 5+ years of working experience.
- You are experienced with React.js, Node.js & GraphQL. Additional tools and technologies such as Next JS, Java, Spring, GCP are a plus.
- You have led the decomposition and upgrading of large frontend codebases to micro frontends.
- You are autonomous, taking full ownership of your work and driving your personal development. You value team success over personal success and have the ability to both uplift and up-level other engineers.
- You hold yourself and others accountable, responsible for every last detail, every step of the way. You are a good communicator and an empathetic, attentive listener with the capability to anticipate the needs of partners.
- You have a deep understanding of JS design patterns, data structures, and web architecture and understand how to apply them to design pragmatic solutions.
- You love working in an environment where you constantly deliver and iterate quickly. You have led large complex multi-team refactors working across domains frontend, backend, infrastructure.
- You have experience working directly with partners to understand, document, and develop APIs and systems to meet their requirements, driving increased adoption and reducing reliance on custom one-off implementations.

The United States base range for this position is $156,275 - 223,250, plus equity. The benefits available for this position include health insurance, six month paid parental leave, 401(k) retirement plan, monthly meal allowance, 23 paid days off, 13 paid flexible holidays. This range encompasses multiple levels. Leveling is determined during the interview process. Placement in a level depends on relevant work history and interview performance. These ranges may be modified in the future.
