About the Role
The Experimentation team at Stitch Fix is at the heart of innovation, leveraging cutting-edge data science techniques to drive decision-making across the company. We help design, execute, and analyze experiments to uncover actionable insights, evolve product offerings, and deeper customer engagement. As a platform engineer, you will collaborate with a team of data scientists and platform engineers. Together, you will advance the continuous evolution of the experimentation process and platform at Stitch Fix. You will work closely with team members and stakeholders across engineering, data science, and product to develop and improve features within the experimentation platform. This role is on a high-visibility team and will be involved in driving impactful projects from day 1. This role reports to the Manager of the Experimentation team within the Technology organization.

We’re excited about you because…
- You have 5+ years of experience in a platform engineering role
- You have exceptional skills in SQL and Python
- You have experience with Golang and full stack development experience.
- You have expertise in machine learning techniques and their applications in experimentation.
- You have platform engineering experience on an experimentation platform.
- You have communication skills that help simplify complex problems for cross-functional business partners
- You have prioritization skills with business impact in mind and ability to be pragmatic where appropriate
- You have intellectual curiosity and are an experienced learner and are skilled in asking questions
- You have a passion for technology and the opportunity to learn and apply new technical concepts to your work
- You have experience in working autonomously and taking ownership of projects.
Preferred Qualifications
- You have a degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, or related discipline.
- You have experience working in the e-commerce or retail industry.
- You have experience partnering with product managers and/or business stakeholders for decision making using experimentation and analytics
- You have familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop or Spark.
