About the Role
The Experimentation team at Stitch Fix is at the heart of innovation, leveraging cutting-edge data science techniques to drive decision-making across the company. We help design, execute, and analyze experiments to uncover actionable insights, evolve product offerings, and deeper customer engagement. As an experienced people manager and experimentation expert, you will lead a team of data scientists and platform engineers. Together, you will advance the continuous evolution of the experimentation process and platform at Stitch Fix. You will work closely with a wide range of stakeholders - product managers, data scientists, frontend engineers, platform engineers, financial analysts, business leaders, and more - to drive alignment for our experimentation platform strategy and continue pushing it forward. This role is on a high-visibility team and will be involved in driving impactful projects from day 1. This role reports to the Director of Data & Analytics within the Technology organization.

We’re excited about you because…
- You have 8+ years of experience in data science, with a focus on experimentation and causal inference.
- You have 3-5 years of experience leading a team, with a focus on engineering or experimentation.
- You are proficient in Python and SQL.
- You have a strong understanding of experimental design, A/B testing, and statistical analysis techniques.
- You have platform engineering experience preferably experimentation platform.
- You have excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- You possess knowledge of machine learning techniques and their applications in experimentation.
- You have exceptional communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to a diverse audience.
- You have experience working autonomously and taking ownership of projects.
- You have rigorous focus on simple solutions that yield business impact.
- You possess strong experience building out scalable, distributed, and production systems.
- You have the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical business partners alike, and who are interested in building strong cross-functional relationships.
- You have a desire to question the status quo and promote innovative solutions to challenging problems.
Preferred Qualifications
- You have a degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, or related discipline.
- You have experience working in the e-commerce or retail industry.
- You have knowledge of Golang and full stack development experience.
- You are familiar with big data technologies such as Hadoop or Spark.
