The Remote Support Engineer/Network Engineer (IoT) should be skilled in IoT hardware. This person will play a crucial role in addressing and resolving network issues associated with our IoT hardware products
\n- Diagnose and resolve network issues for IoT hardware, either remotely or by guiding on-site customer actions.
- Thoroughly analyze connectivity problems and implement effective solutions.
- Document events properly and provide remote technical support to customers and internal teams.
- Assist in configuring and setting up IoT hardware devices, ensuring integration with existing network infrastructure.
- Communicate effectively with customers to understand and address their network concerns.
- Offer timely updates, manage customer expectations, and maintain detailed documentation of network configurations and troubleshooting steps.
- Contribute to the knowledge base for continuous improvement.
- Participate in testing to identify and address potential network issues in IoT hardware before product release.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices for IoT networking.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, software developers, and quality assurance, to resolve complex issues.
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Must have high school diploma or equivalent, Bachelor Degree in Information Technology or related field, preferred
- At least 3 years proven experience in roles such as Support Engineer or Network Engineer.
- Strong understanding of IoT hardware and related networking protocols.
- Must be proficient in troubleshooting network issues, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs
- Experience with remote support tools and methodologies.
- Experience with Ticketing Tool/s (Salesforce, Jira, SNOW, Etc,)
- Willing to work on a project-based setup.
- Relevant certifications, such as Cisco CCNA or CompTIA Network+, are advantageous.
- Advantageous to have familiarity with Linux OS.
- Advantageous to have familiarity with BLE, Wi-Fi HW, and SW technology.
