Job Description
Purpose of the role:
The Global Collections Manager plays a critical role in the success of the Global Collection function and its support of the overall Commerce business unit. This includes overseeing a collections strategy that will look to achieve a customer centric experience and enhance financial results. You will partner with colleagues in the Risk management function, Technology, Legal and Compliance teams, to deliver strategy changes and drive process and performance excellence.
You will be accountable for the delivery of our collections strategy through our selected partners ensuring that we tightly manage, review and maintain strong relationships and outcomes for our customers and stakeholders and ensuring adherence to our Global Collections Agency Oversight Framework.
To be a success in the role, you will thrive on complex problem solving, be focused on delivering exceptional customer experiences, employ deep industry experience, and will have a keen focus on protecting the Commerce business profitability, reputation, and service experience.
Responsibilities:
Ensure smooth running of the day to day collections operations across each of our global regions, meeting overall service levels, compliance and regulatory obligations, ensuring great customer experiences, and focusing on maintaining employee engagement and strong Debt Collections Agency (DCA) partner relationships.
Lead and manage a team of Collections Specialists, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and customer service, to set targets, streamline collections processes and enhance efficiency in line with overall business goals.
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
Prepare regular reports and presentations on collections performance, trends, and strategies.
Oversee procurement activities related to collections operations, including vendor selection, contract negotiation, and management of third-party service providers, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to quality standards.
Qualifications
Experience:
Extensive demonstrated experience working across multiple domains / business functions to deliver results in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated Change management in a high paced, scaling operational environment
Experience in managing Operations processes/teams across multiple regions
Expert stakeholder managements skills with the ability to partner with teams and department leaders,
Excellent communication skills across a number of mediums (verbal, written and presentation);
A self-starter and someone who thrives under pressure;
Resilient, ability to manage multiple competing priorities and think holistically
Ability to learn quickly, understand complex processes end to end in Operations, and the ability to manage/influence impacts across multiple programs
