About the Role

Each month Wirecutter helps millions of people by exhaustively researching and testing products in dozens of categories to select the very best among them for our readers. Our model is unique and powerful, and the trust we earn from our readers is key to our success.

As the Commerce Operations Coordinator, you will support the Commerce team by ensuring we keep our guides up to date with the best buying options possible for our readers.

This is an opportunity to join a team led by industry veterans. The Coordinator role provides an opportunity to gain experience within commerce content, a fast-growing area of affiliate marketing with an emphasis on mentorship by your manager. You will report to the Manager, Commerce Operations. This role is eligible for remote work in the states listed below.

Responsibilities:

  • Article performance monitoring

    • Monitor high-trafficked guides and ensure ample inventory of picks

    • Manage a changelog of updates

  • Inventory management

    • Research price, stock and availability of products, reach out to partners for inventory updates, and manage internal databases

  • Optimization

    • Merchant audits: Assess merchants’ product assortment and affiliate program offers for overlap with Wirecutter Picks and provide guidance to Commerce leads on size of opportunity

    • Help with auditing guides for optimization opportunities

  • Link operations

    • Build affiliate links to be used on onsite and off-platform 

    • Support link building and tagging for proper attribution, including major deal events e.g. Prime Day, Cyber Week, etc.

  • Demonstrate support and understanding of our value of journalistic independence and a strong commitment to our mission to seek the truth and help people understand the world.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in commerce or affiliate
  • 2+ years of experience working in Word, Excel (VLOOKUP, data exports, pivot tables, etc), and Powerpoint (or G Suite equivalent)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated work history managing 3+ concurrent projects
  • Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • An eagerness to work and collaborate in cross-functional environments.
