Role: Senior SaaS Systems Administrator

Reports to: IT Infrastructure Manager

Salary Range: $115,000-125,000


Summary

This role will oversee The Trevor Project’s complex, endpoint and cloud computing/SaaS infrastructure–including identity and access management, security, end user Mac hardware, and enterprise applications, like Okta and Google Workspace. You will architect and maintain complex middleware automations and service buses under the Trevor Jazz Shrimp brand. You will mentor and provide informal leadership to other members of the IT Infrastructure team and the Technology team as a whole. You will document standard operating procedures and runbooks, and will act as a third line of escalation for complex technical issues not solved by the IT Helpdesk staff.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Perform day-to-day maintenance and ongoing support of our existing tech stack of Google Workspace, Slack, Salesforce, Jamf, and more
  • Architect, build, and maintain our internal Identity and Access Management (IAM) tools (Okta) and act as a subject matter expert on best practices
  • Act as the primary architect and owner of the Trevor Jazz Shrimp Service Bus Platform for Process Automation. Envision, design and deploy new functionality to diverse audiences, receive and respond to feedback and feature requests, and create documentation for both internal and external audiences as needed to promote the functionality and branding of Jazz Shrimp.
  • Manage access to systems through role-based security and access provisioning, and audit user access to systems and ensure licenses are being used effectively
  • Act as an IT liaison to other teams who are looking to integrate their tools and systems with the rest of The Trevor Project
  • Independently identify opportunities for improvement across our SaaS stack and act as a change champion
  • Act as an escalation path for our help desk team, including supporting with service desk requests and writing knowledge based articles
  • Act as a mentor and escalation point for other SaaS System Administrators, using your knowledge and expertise to support the team and help your colleagues grow.
  • Collaborate with the IT Infrastructure Manager to evaluate potential SaaS tools as part of the The Trevor Project’s procurement process; take a leading role on implementation of new SaaS solutions
  • Create, maintain, and test disaster recovery and business resiliency plans for supported applications
  • Lead and collaborate with empathy, showing courage and compassion when making decisions

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 3 or more years of combined education, work, and/or certification experience with demonstrated expertise in systems administration.
